NFL: NFC Playoffs question? I'm a bit confused?

well, yes the saints definitely have a playoff spot over the bucs. the only way for the saints NOT to make the playoffs is by them going 10-6 and the giants winning next week and going 10-6 as well, and also the packers winning next week. then the giants and packers (both 10-6) would make it to the playoffs over the saints (who are also 10-6) because they both win the tiebreaker in this [pretty unlikely] scenario. so technically, yes you could say they are still chasing a playoff spot, although it's completely in their hands-all they have to do is win one of their last two games, and they're in. the only way for the bucs to make it to the playoffs is if both the giants and packers lose next week and go 9-7, and they win and go 10-6, because they lose the tiebreaker to both the giants and the packers. in that scenario, then yes three teams from one division would make it into the playoffs-I highly doubt this is going to happen though.
