What procedure is used for drying 2,4 dinitrophenol for use in synthesising an ester?

im doing a ester synthesis in my final year of chemistry . as part of this im starting the synthesis with oxalic acid and SOCl2 . the product of this reaction is then used to make the ester along with the 2,4 dinitrophenol. the 2,4 dip is labelled as containing up to 35% water . will this water content affect the sucessful synthesis of the ester and if so how do i remove it before hand ?
