Gossip girl??! what channel??

I read one of the gossip girl books, and so when i found out that there is a tv show i really wanted to see it! I have regular cable and dish network satelite. I heard it was on the CW channel, that ive never heard of. Does anyone know what channel it is on for dish network??? Is it on any other channel besides CW?? Thank you, best answer available! :)
