Best advice I can give is to stay in your current relationship, unless you want out, and to remain friends with this guy for the time being. He may not be ready to commit to a serious relationship with you, and also he may have just said those things off the cuff. All couples argue, so I would not take too much notice of his remarks. If you and he are meant to be, believe me it will happen.
